I hear your concerns. Well, I would answer respectively: yes, a little, I am not!

Initially, travelling alone is not a choice. It’s always better to have someone aside, especially because I’m not a hermit. Hypothetically, it’s good to have some company for rainy days in Germany, to avoid falling asleep during the long straight roads of Spain, to stay calm when mechanical problems occurs or even share a glass of Chianti.

But finding someone to go with is not so simple, as idyllic as this journey could be. I’m a full-time worker and most of my friends too. Not easy to be available for a period of 8 months. You also need to want to spend your money that way. In addition, I must find someone who can support me for this duration and vice versa. Living together for almost 1 year in a small area is a big challenge.

That’s why I found an alternative: the temporary fellow! I suggested to my friends and relatives to come and join me for the duration they want: it can be from one week to several months! It could be the opportunity to take a vacation in different place, to go to a festival or to make a mini trip. This way of doing is fine for me too. Indeed, the lonely period will make me meet locals and discover new climbers. And for sure, this trip has an “introspective” dimension, a sort of initiation rite, in which I will discover myself. And it will be easier if I’m alone.

Now, 4 months before leaving, only two people will travel with me. This is Toni, for the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco as well as Ste for the Sziget Festival and Hungary. I have also 3 other possible fellows wich are : My mother, Sebi and Guillaume. Finding other travellers is still possible. Tell me!
