Planned roadmap

So, my big idea of a Mediterranean sea tour failed . The causes are multiples: diplomatic, logistical and climatic! It took me a while to compose a new route that will satisfy my desire of sun and climbing. But these are not the only constraints of my itinerary. I want to avoid hot spots during the summer. I lived in the south of France and I know that the Mediterranean area is almost unbearable when the summer is coming. More, in a non air-conditioned truck, not possible…

Afterwards, I watched maps, seeked advice from friends, and heard oracles and marabouts, I finally found the best roadmap for me! Below, a picture who’s worth a thousand words:

Ca fait du chemin!

The principle is: Starting in March, towards the Iberian peninsula, I will reach the promised land of Morocco. Going back, I will go through Spain via the eastern coast and I’ll arrive in France in late spring. Then I will headed to Switzerland, Germany and Poland for the summer. After, I’ll spent sometimes visiting Central Europe and my main goal will be the Sziget festival in Budapest in August. Finally, when the temperatures fall ,I will reach Turkey and Greece, and finally finish by Croatia and Italy.

I want to go away 8 months and it will not be too much for traveling the 15 000 / 20 000 kilometers I plan to do among 21 countries

Of course, this program is only theoretical. I think I’ll have to change it because of the vicissitudes of life, impossibilities, advices given by locals or my companions.
